Open Studios at Cubberley Center
SPW Member and Artist Laura Klein will be one of 24 Cubberley
artists opening their studios, showing everything from weaving
and fiber arts, to concrete sculpture and dolls (and painting,
drawing, and photography, too!).
Time: 11am to 5pm.
Location: 4000 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto (between
San Antonio Road and Charleston).

Directions: From 101, take the San Antonio Road exit,
towards Los Altos, and head west. Go approximately 1 mile
to Middlefield Road, and make a right. At the first light,
make a left into the large parking lot. The studios are on
wings E, F, and U. SPW Member Laura Klein is in Studio U4.

Call for Participants on Parenting Book
Dear Fellow Alums: This is an invitation, to parents of children
who are beyond college age, to participate in a special project.
Jennifer Apy, Stanford MBA Class of 1994, is writing a book
that compiles stories from parents on what they did to contribute
to their grown childrens successes. It is a parenting
book, told through stories and examples, to provide inspiration
and helpful tips to parents of young children today. Participants
from a variety of ethnicities and economic situations, and
experience from other cultures are welcome.
How to Participate: If you or others you know would
be interested in submitting a story or being interviewed for
the book, please contact Jennifer.

Breakfast Briefing
Stanford Breakfast Briefings is a distinguished speaker series
designed for the academic, business, and technology community.
The speakers are industry leaders, tenured faculty from Stanford
University, and other thought leaders who specialize in current
management topics. Join us at the Stanford Faculty Club (please
see directions and a map) one Wednesday morning each month
to network, learn and enjoy a full buffet breakfast.
Breakfast is served between 7:30-8:00 a.m. The speaker begins
at 8:00 a.m. and the program ends promptly at 9:00 a.m. There
is a fee of $48 ($36 for Stanford staff, students, and alumni).
